About Me

Hi there! I'm a 24-year-old software engineer with a passion for building innovative, scalable, and user-friendly solutions. Currently, I work as a DevOps Software Engineer at Ahold Delhaize, one of the world's largest food retail groups. As part of the Checkout and Receipts tech team at Albert Heijn, I specialize in backend engineering, focusing on creating the next-generation checkout experience. My work primarily revolves around designing and implementing microservice-based architectures using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot. I manage databases like MongoDB and PostgreSQL, ensuring efficient data handling. I also leverage cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure for scalability, and work with a variety of DevOps tools, including Prometheus, ArgoCD, and Grafana, to monitor and optimize system performance.

I'm passionate about learning new skills and exploring new challenges. Some of my interests include artificial intelligence, web development, mobile development and cloud computing. In my spare time, I like to read books, do powerlifting, experience different cultures in various countries, and play instruments like the cello and the guitar.
